Create/Move Newly Created View

I am playing around with the default website to learn how to use this platform. On the “Pricing” page I clicked on “Custom View” (the group that holds the price plans) and created a new view to add a 5th “PlanType View” but instead it made the “Custom View” a sub of the newly created “View” instead of adding a 5th view. Then I tried to create a new view by clicking on “PlanType View” but instead it made the “PlanType View” a sub of the newly created “View” instead of adding a 5th view.

So first question: How do I add a 5th “PlanType View”.

Next, to fix these errors, I tried to drag and drop the “Custom View” and “PlanType View” from a sub back to where it was but I could not.

How do I fix this? If I delete the newly created views won’t it delete all sub groups?

Thanks for the help!

Could you paste a few screenshots? Also include your project url. Difficult to reason about without more context.
Thanks

Hopefully this helps… I’ve just been playing around with this website to understand how everything works.

I can use “duplicate” as a work around but when I create a new view, it makes the new view a new parent and puts the view I selected (i.e. to create the new view in) a child of the new view. However, what I want to do however is to create a new view as a child to the parent folder.

Also, when I attempt to correct the issue by moving the folder (as you can see in the screenshot) it does not allow me to drag and drop it.

Hello! To add a fifth “PlanType View,” first use Ctrl+C/Command+C to copy an existing “PlanType View.” Then, select the parent component of this “PlanType View” (you can either choose it directly from the component tree on the left or use a shortcut to select the parent component, as shown in the screenshot). After that, paste it.

Thanks for the info. It was a browser issue. I’m using Brave’s browser and it appears that the clipboard was disabled by default. Once I enabled it I could easily use the Ctrl+C/Command+C shortcuts.

Although, I’m still unable to move a child to a parent via drag and drop, a simple workaround (now that my clipboard is enabled) is to simply cut the child and paste it as a parent.

I appreciate the help!

drag and drop should work?
